Antique Ashworth Brothers Chinese Pattern 16210 Coffee Pot w/Lid 1861-1890
Beautiful vintage coffee pot features scene of Chinese women walking outside near a fence and one sitting inside a building.  Colors of the scene include blue, pink, and washes of orange gold around the belly of the coffee pot, around the top, down the handle and near the spout.
Antique English Ironstone Chinoiseries CHINESE PATTERN 16210 coffee pot, circa 1861-1890. Made in England in the late 19th century. Hand applied polychrome over black transfer design, on white English Ironstone with orange luster band on rim.
Approx 8 inches tall (w/lid), 9 inches across from spout to handle, 5-1/2 inches the widest part of the belly, and a 3 inch opening at the top.
A great piece for daily use, holding flowers from the garden, or on a shelf in a cheery kitchen.
The inside is clean and there is only a crack and small chip on the underside of the spout and a chip on the opening rim near the handle.  Sold as is. Priced accordingly.  Will pack well to ensure no further damage.
Overall, a lovely addition to any collection! We should all look so good at well over 100 years old!
There is some semblance of a marking on the underside and an "M" on the underside of the lid.
Authentic antique, hand-painted coffee pot made by Ashworth Brothers, England and distributed/sold by LS&S as the Chinese Pattern. From an era when the finest porcelain was made in China with Chinese designs; as English potteries improved their fine porcelain production; they marketed the Chinese designs that consumers preferred.
This comes from an estate of a man whose great grandfather was a missionary in Asia for over 30 years. As an adult, he traveled extensively throughout Asia, Europe, and the Pacific Islands. He also inherited a number of beautiful pieces from his aunts who didn't have children.
