Original AURORA New-Old-Stock (NOS) Slimline Formula 1 chassis. The ‘Slimline’ chassis fits under Formula 1, F1 McLaren BRM, F1 Repco Brabham and '32 Ford Pick Up Truck bodies. Although this chassis is a ThunderJet, it differs from stock T-Jet 500’s. The Slimline chassis features a very small pancake armature with a smaller OD main shaft, smaller motor brushes and a 9-tooth armature pinion gear with a smaller ID hole. CAUTION: Slimeline chassis run hotter than stock T-Jets; be careful not to run them hard for a long time otherwise they may burn out.
True NOS T-Jet chassis are becoming scarce. These T-Jet chassis are original AURORA New-Old-Stock out of master cases of 80 and not used. Complete rolling chassis assembly with large 4 lug chrome wheel hubs and ribbed rubber tires (NOTE: Tires are nearly a half century old and need to be replaced for competitive racing). Compatible with all HO slot car track. Guide pin and body screws not included.
The Slimline chassis is a popular choice of resin casters making narrow bodies. NOS Aurora Slimline chassis will require regular maintenance including tuning, cleaning, and oiling; just like they did back in the day. This is part of the FUN of HO Slot Car Racing!

We suspect this is because the USPS takes Postal Fraud very seriously as under United States Code 18 Section 1708, federal mail theft and fraud is a felony punishable by up to five years in federal prison and fines of up to 0,000. However, on a very few rare occasions, the USPS has taken a bit longer than expected to deliver a package. This usually is the result of the USPS putting a package on the wrong truck or plane. Hence, we’ve adjusted our listing shipping handling times as we and not the Post Office get blamed for any delays despite the fact that once we hand off a package to the USPS we no longer control the shipping time. We still are committed to fast shipping but had to take this necessary listing change to protect ourselves from a rare delay that is out of our control.

There are two basic categories of HO Slot Cars: Modern Magnet Cars and Vintage T-Jet Style Cars.
Modern 'magnet' cars have 'magnet' downforce and will run very fast right out of the packaging.
Vintage Style NOS (New-Old-Stock) Aurora T-Jet 500 cars will require regular maintenance including tuning, cleaning, and oiling just like they did back in the day. AURORA’s classic ‘Pancake’ TJet chassis design from the 1960’s is the preferred choice of racing clubs and vintage slot car enthusiasts.
Slot Car Racing is an adult hobby and does not offer the same experience as new high tech toys and video games. There are adult racing clubs all over the country dedicated to racing both Vintage Style and Modern Magnet Style slot cars. Slot Car Racing is a hobby requiring mechanical skills and dexterity for driving and chassis & track maintenance. Most slot car enthusiasts are adults. We do not advocate or encourage the purchase of merchandise from HO-SLOT-CARS for anyone under the age of 18. This hobby will require almost as much time in maintenance as in actual racing.
