DESCRIPTION:
"Hulu" is created by great master Chen Mansheng(1768-1822), the inspiration came from the gourd, there's a story about this teapot: Mansheng's nephew visited him and just bring a gourd as a present, mansheng was puzzled, his nephew said "hulu" has the similar pronounce as "fulu" which means "happiness and richness", Mansheng was pleasured and made a same teapot, he like it very much especially the ring on the lid. author's reproduced this work and the workmanship is very good.
The material is from the biggest Yixing clay mine site--Huang long Mountain mine site.

Author was born in Yixing, she was graduated from "Yixing pottery college" in 1995, then she began to learn making teapot in Yixing zisha factory which was the one of the most authoritative places at that time. between 1998~2001 she was studied in Chinese art college and Product Design Specialty, in 2003 she got the title of "outstanding Young and middle-aged yixing zisha artist" by Chinese Art Association.
