    Description

Thanks for considering this purchase!  I enjoy sharing my best finds with buyers who appreciate good value and distinctive design.
Known for centuries as the ‘City of Blades’, Solingen in West Germany housed scores of factories which once produced 60% of all the world’s cutlery!  These unusual utensils are likely
    the maker’s
    trademark high-quality rustproof 18/10 chrome-nickel stainless steel.
They are heavyweight and embossed with a leafy scroll motif on the handle.
Well-used and showing a little pitting but in pretty good condition overall, each 7.5” piece is marked Solingen.
A 2”-long central prong is flanked by two shorter curved side spears.  You decide, but I’m thinking these unique forks could be used for lobster, other shellfish, fondue, sushi, fruit, baked potatoes  – use your imagination!  I’ve even been told they are stuffed artichoke forks.  That
    could
be true -- using the tool to anchor the artichoke firmly through the stem end with one hand while pulling off the individual leaves with the other hand?  You’ll have everyone at the dinner table guessing as to their original purpose.
These are just as I found them in an old Cape Cod (MA) home.  I have not polished or disturbed the pieces.
