Norwich University, Vermont, Cavalry Unit Hat Badge

I have for sale a hat badge for the Cavalry Unit at the Norwich University located in Norwich, Vermont.  Norwich is the oldest private military college in the United States.  It was founded in 1819 at Norwich, Vermont as the American Literary, Scientific and Military academy.  It is recognized by the Department of Defense as the birthplace of the Reserve Officers Training Corps (R.O.T.C.)  The badge is gilted metal, it is approximately 2 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches and its in original condition.  The makers name is on the back N.S. MEYER INC NEW YORK.  The badge at the top shows an eagle with a ribbon and on the ribbon it has the letters R.O. T.C..  Below the eagle it shows a scene with a cannon and another device with the sun and mountain in the background.  Below the cannon it reads I WILL TRY - CAVALRY UNIT - NORWICH UNIVERSITY.  Please see more in my EBAY STORE at TE Collectables.  (17,076)
