Vintage Chinese Millefleur Famille Noire Black Porcelain Enamel Floral Teapot Tray Cup ZHONGGUO JINGDEZHEN Made in China Hand Painted
Fabulous teapot with lid and strainer,large round tray, and footed teacup, in the Famille Noire pattern, made in Jingdezhen China. Chinese famille noire is a classification of Chinese enamel porcelains that have mostly a black ground base.
The porcelain tea set is black with polychrome enamel flowers in pink, purple, blue, green, yellow, and white. Millefleur means 1000 flowers. The set has a lot of different flowers including the Asian Peony.
On the bottom is a red five character mark for Zhongguo Jingdezhen, with "MADE IN CHINA", and the number "09" which is for the Zhongguo factory.
All of the teaset pieces are in excellent condition. There are no chips, no cracks, and no crazing. The colors are bright and beautiful.
The teapot measures 6 1/2" tall x 9" from handle to spout x 5" diameter.
The teacup measures 3" diameter x 2 3/8" tall.
The round tray measures 10 1/8" diameter with a 3/4" tall rim.
